1. Who we are

This website (www.wx-seastar.com) is operated by Wuxi Seastar Lighting Co., Ltd. (无锡市益明光电有限公司, Unified Social Credit Code 91320214MA1N4R3T18). For the processing described in this policy we act as the data controller and are responsible for your personal data.

Registered address: Hongchang Road / Jing-13 Road, Hongshan Subdistrict, Xinwu District, Wuxi, Jiangsu, China. Contact details are in section 12.

2. What we collect

We only collect what is necessary to respond to your enquiry:

• Information you provide: name, company or brand, email address, telephone number, business line, estimated quantity, and anything else you choose to include in the enquiry description.
• Information recorded automatically: IP address, browser identifier (User-Agent), referring page (Referer) and submission time — used to prevent abuse, diagnose technical faults and evidence your consent.

We do not ask for identity document numbers, bank details, health data or biometric data through this website. Please do not include such information in the enquiry field.

3. Why we use it

• To respond to your enquiry, provide quotations, technical documents and product proposals;
• To follow up with you about the specific requirement you described;
• To keep the website and the enquiry form secure (anti-abuse, fault diagnosis).

We do not use your data for unrelated purposes, for third-party advertising, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone.

4. Our legal basis

We process this data on the basis of your consent. By ticking the consent box before submitting the form, you confirm that you have read this policy and agree to the processing described in it. You may withdraw your consent at any time (see section 9); withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your data for no longer than 24 months from the date of collection. After that we delete or anonymise it. Where a statutory retention obligation applies, or where retention is necessary to handle an ongoing dispute, we may keep it until that matter is closed.

6. Sharing

• We do not sell your personal data.
• Within our company, access is limited to the sales, engineering and production colleagues directly involved in answering your enquiry.
• We do not disclose your data to external third parties, except where required by law or by a competent court or authority.
• If personal data were ever transferred as part of a merger or reorganisation, we would inform you of the recipient and require it to remain bound by this policy.

7. Storage location and international transfers

This website and its database are hosted on a server in Hong Kong, China. If you are outside mainland China, submitting the form means you understand and agree that your data will be stored and processed there.

8. Cookies and similar technologies

This website uses no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies and loads no third-party analytics or advertising scripts. Only the following are used:

• wxs_sid — session identifier for the administration area, set only when an administrator signs in; ordinary visitors never receive it;
• wxs_cc — records your cookie notice choice so the banner is not shown repeatedly.

You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings; this does not affect browsing the site or submitting an enquiry.

Do Not Track: This website does not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" (DNT) signals. Because the site performs no cross-site tracking, enabling or disabling DNT does not change how your data is actually handled here.

9. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

• access and obtain a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
• rectify inaccurate or incomplete data;
• erase your personal data;
• withdraw consent, or restrict or object to certain processing;
• request an explanation of the processing rules in this policy.

10. Visitors from the EEA, UK and Switzerland

Where the EU GDPR, the UK GDPR or the Swiss FADP applies to you, the following additionally applies:

• Controller: Wuxi Seastar Lighting Co., Ltd. (details in sections 1 and 12).
• Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR); where you are an existing business contact, our legitimate interest in responding to your request (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• Recipients: the internal colleagues described in section 6. No external processors are used for the enquiry form.
• International transfers: your data is transferred to and stored in Hong Kong, China. Hong Kong is the recipient jurisdiction; transfers are made on the basis of your explicit consent under Art. 49(1)(a) GDPR. If you would prefer not to transfer your data, please contact us by telephone instead of using the form.
• Your rights: in addition to section 9, you may lodge a complaint with the data protection supervisory authority in your country of residence, place of work or where the alleged infringement occurred.
• Statutory or contractual requirement: providing your data is neither a statutory nor a contractual requirement; you are free not to submit the form, though we would then be unable to respond to your enquiry.

11. How we protect your data

The site is served exclusively over HTTPS. The database is reachable only from the local application service; the server accepts key-based administrative access only; administrator accounts follow least privilege and key actions are logged. No transmission or storage method is absolutely secure, so please avoid sending sensitive information unrelated to your enquiry.

13. Children

This website is intended for business customers and professional buyers and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has submitted information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this policy as our business or the law changes. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised accordingly; where a change materially affects your rights we will highlight it on the site. Please review this page periodically.
